Working at the Supreme Court
The Supreme Court’s most important task is to provide, via its rulings, guidance for other courts and legal practitioners in general. It also has certain other duties. For example, the court additionally tries matters relating to requests for new trials, complaints of grave procedural errors, applications for restoration of expired time, other states’ petitions to have people extradited from Sweden, and certain matters regarding membership of the Swedish Bar Association. Some 90 people work at the Supreme Court. Most of them are lawyers, but there are also administrative and service personnel.
